Meet Our Teachers

Sarah Hostetler 
Sarah has been teaching at Cross Over the Hill since it opened in 2012.  She holds a B.S. in Counseling and Youth Ministry and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Sarah has enjoyed teaching the Bible to children in various settings:  Children’s Church, inner city summer camp, Sunday school, and Awana.  Sarah also worked for 18 months as an ESL teacher for elementary school in Seoul, South Korea.

Sarah has been married to her husband Lance since 2006. Lance is the Senior Pastor at Grace Bible Church in Van Wert.  She has two children: Olivia, born in 2011, and Alex, born in 2013.  Sarah enjoys biking, swimming, camping, gardening and cooking with her family.

Sarah’s favorite thing about Cross Over the Hill is watching kids experience the love and truth that Jesus gives.  She also enjoys when the children realize how fun learning God’s Word can be.
 

Myrna Hamrick
Myrna has been teaching at Cross Over the Hill since the fall of 2017. Currently she teaches 1st through 5th grade and the Middle School COTH Tuesday after school. She holds a B.A. in English Education and a M.A. in Education. Previously, Myrna taught English at Van Wert High School where she was also an adviser for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Myrna and her husband Brent have three grown children: Daniel and Andrew Perry, who are students at  Huntington University, and Alix Hamrick, who is attending The Ohio State University, Lima branch.

Myrna enjoys being able to share God’s Word without being restricted by the laws governing public education and seeing the students at such an early age begin to understand how awesome God is!

 


Matt Eding

Matt Eding has dedicated his life to youth ministry. He worked as a youth pastor prior to joining the Cross Over The Hill team as the middle school teacher. He holds a master of divinity from Winebrenner Theological Seminary and currently attends Lifehouse Church. Matt lives in Convoy, Ohio with his wife, two kids, and way too many rescued cats. He enjoys music, gaming, movies, and being outdoors.
 

Jeremy Laukhuf

Jeremy is the Field Director for LifeWise Academy and the High School Teacher for Cross Over The Hill. He lives life with the mindset, “Words Mean Things and Truth Matters Most” and strives to be an efficient, effective and authentic leader and communicator in every aspect of his work. Jeremy holds a Master Of Arts Degree in Ministry from Luther Rice College and Seminary, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Jazz Studies from The Ohio State University and is a certified Project Manager. Additionally, he is a retired United States Air Force Veteran. He and his wife Cristi have five children:  Brooklynn, Cayden, Madalynn, Vivian and Lillian. Jeremy enjoys reading, writing, running and Prog Rock.
